Peer-to-Peer VoIP is a very popular and useful way to keep in touch with other people using the same service. There are cross-platform applications that work with Windows, Linux and Mac operating systems. These are usually quite small in file size, and even older computers can run them without significant slowdown. Since there are numerous free applications to download and use, you would think that anyone with a broadband connection would not use a regular phone unless absolutely necessary.
